Overview

The Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for the support and maintenance of clinical applications, business processes and policies, working directly with stakeholders in order to analyze and troubleshoot issues and communicate resolutions.  Maintains a professional attitude and exhibits excellent customer service skills while performing assigned tasks.  *This role is NOT REMOTE and requires the employee to reside in the greater Phoenix area, to work onsite, Monday through Friday in Phoenix*

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level contact end-user support and problem resolution through ticketing system or by telephone
  • Monitor the ticketing system to ensure new tickets are being resolved promptly, and more complex problems assigned to Senior team members
  • Ensure detailed documentation of issues and system configuration changes, providing clear communication with users throughout the process
  • Receive customer calls in the call queue and initiate new tickets with detailed explanation of the issue and the resolution taken
  • Properly escalate unresolved queries, issues and requests to the Senior Clinical Applications Analyst
  • Manage user accounts ensuring proper security permissions based on user roles and handling the creation and deactivation of user accounts in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Complete system configuration for specialized applications and procedures, following operational procedures
  • Resolve system related problems through appropriate research methods and communication with user department personnel and vendor personnel
  • Ensure the safeguarding of protected health information
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of users including management and executive leadership

Qualifications

  • This is an ON SITE role Mon through Fri in Phoenix - NOT REMOTE
  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent working experience
  • 1+ year(s) of Healthcare Information Technology experience
  • 1+ year(s) of NextGen PM/EHR experience
  • 1+ year(s) working with the Ophthalmology specialty is preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment with effective communication and customer service skills, fostering positive relationships and teamwork
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with an appropriate sense of urgency
