Overview

As a Content Marketing Strategist, you will support AVP’s digital marketing efforts by designing and executing creative

content across a variety of platforms, including landing pages, digital ads, social media, and more. You will collaborate

with internal teams and external vendors to implement engaging campaigns that align with AVP’s goals and brand

standards. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented marketer with a strong understanding of digital tools,

content creation, and design principles.

The Content Marketing Strategist plays a critical role in the development, measurement, and optimization of content

marketing as a core channel for American Vision Partners. This person will work directly with the Director of Marketing

and the Marketing Manager, other content creators and creative/design professionals to create content, optimize our

content initiatives and meticulously measure their success. The Content Marketing Strategist will work collaboratively

with other stakeholders to ensure coordination of strategies and a cohesive patient experience across digital and

traditional media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver engaging content with the goal of increasing local website traffic, lead conversion, domain authority and continually optimizing content keeping SEO relevance in mind
  • Lead inbound marketing content creation aligned with quarterly campaigns and website/landing page
  • optimizations:  Blog, email/text, social, landing pages, web pages
  • Update and maintain company websites via WordPress, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience
  • Work with the clinical and marketing teams to create digital/print marketing materials and videos, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with clinical messaging
  • Utilizes digital performance reports to provide recommendations to optimize future campaigns
  • Create quarterly content calendar to support lead generation campaigns

  • Develop and execute on multi-channel marketing lead generation/patient outreach campaigns that directly generates leads and nurtures prospects through the patient journey
  • Collaborate with creative team to develop lead-gen content and transform complex topics into storytelling narratives
  • Assist in the creation of email marketing content, ensuring brand consistency and measurable results
  • Manage the content and posting portion of the marketing/social calendar and content production process.
  • Execute a “keep the lights on” organic social media strategy
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback on platforms such as Google and Yelp, prioritizing brand reputation and patient satisfaction
  • Partner and work closely with the marketing manager to gather and review content marketing performance analysis based on a regular cadence and projects in the marketing queue
  • Content audits and ideation: Evaluate existing content, identify gaps, and propose fresh ideas that identify and address customer problems
  • Support the onboarding of new practices and providers, ensuring seamless integration into digital marketing efforts
  • Assist in asset management and content inventory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field is preferred
  • REQUIRED:  3+ years marketing campaign experience, preferably within lead generation
  • REQUIRED:  3+ years of content marketing experience
  • REQUIREMENT: Strong understanding of content strategy for landing page and website design 
  • REQUIRED:  Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), or similar platforms
  • REQUIRED:  Experience with social media management platforms
  • REQUIRED:  Experience with content management platforms such as WordPress & Hootsuite
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry (preferably within the eyecare space)
  • 1+ year of SEO driven content marketing is preferred
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Aptitude for building and maintaining strong processes
  • Familiarity with SEO, email marketing and digital strategy
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging digital content (social media posts, digital ads, videos, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and measure the performance of digital campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
